Fee Information

Fees are payable monthly in advance and must be paid by direct debit or bank transfer on the first day of each calendar month. A £50 non-refundable registration fee applies to all applications. Fees will adjust the month following your child’s third birthday, with grant-funded rates applied from the term after eligibility begins. A late collection fee will be charged for children not collected by the end of their session at either 1:00pm or 6:30pm. For children who start after the first day of the month or leave before the end of the month, fees will be calculated on a pro-rata weekly basis using a 51- week year. Fees remain payable in full during periods of absence due to holiday or sickness. One month of written notice is required to reduce sessions or withdraw your child’s place. Funded Early Education

Cedar Grove Day Nursery provides government-funded early education places in line with national funding regulations. Funded hours cover early education only and do not include meals, consumables or additional activities. All funding rates, structures and additional charges are published clearly on our fees sheet and website to meet statutory transparency requirements.

Eligibility and Accessing the Extended Entitlement

Eligibility for the extended entitlement is income-based. Parents must confirm their eligibility through the GOV.UK Working Parents Childcare Service and provide their 11-digit eligibility code before the deadline set by Cedar Grove or the Local Authority. Where the extended entitlement cannot be accessed or confirmed, charges will apply at the universal entitlement rate if the child meets the age criteria.

30-Hour Entitlement for Working Families

Eligible working families may receive up to 30 hours of funded childcare for 38 weeks of the year from the term after their child turns 9 months old. We deliver this on a stretched basis across the full year we are open, with 22 funded hours applied each week.

Universal 15 Hours for 3 and 4 Year Olds

All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours of universal funding for 38 weeks of the year from the term after their third birthday. We provide this on a stretched basis across the full year we are open, with 11 funded hours applied each week.

Additional Charges for Services Not Covered by Funding

The funded entitlement does not include meals, non-food consumables or additional activities. Parents are asked to contribute on a voluntary basis to support these services, which enable us to maintain high quality care and provide enriched learning experiences.
