At Cedar Grove Day Nursery, we follow clear and up-to-date policies to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and wellbeing for every child.

Below is a summary of some of our key policies. Full versions are available on request, and are shared with parents upon registration.

Key Policies We Follow:

  • Safeguarding & Child Protection

We are committed to protecting children from harm. All staff are trained in safeguarding and know how to report concerns.

  • Health & Safety

We carry out regular risk assessments, safety checks, and staff training to maintain a safe environment for children and staff.

  • Inclusion & Equal Opportunities

We welcome all children and promote an inclusive setting where individual needs are met with care and respect.

  • Behaviour Management

We support children in learning boundaries with kindness and consistency, using positive reinforcement and clear expectations.

  • Illness & Medication

Children who are unwell must remain at home until they are well enough to return. We have a clear procedure for administering medication safely.

  • Food & Allergy Management

All meals and snacks are prepared with allergies and dietary needs in mind. We take great care in food hygiene and allergen control.

  • Accidents & First Aid

All accidents are recorded and shared with parents. We have trained first aiders on site at all times.

  • Complaints Procedure

We value feedback and have a formal procedure in place to resolve concerns professionally and fairly.

  • Mobile Phone & Technology Use

We restrict the use of mobile phones and personal devices in areas where children are present to safeguard privacy.

  • Data Protection (GDPR)

We store your personal information securely and only use it for nursery-related purposes.
